Officials with Newton County, City of Neosho, and Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will celebrate the opening of Neosho’s newest bridge with a Ribbon Cutting event.
The Ribbon Cutting event will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30, on the east side of the bridge. Parking will be in the lot located to the east of the bridge. (To reach the bridge, travel east on East Spring Street off the NE corner of the Neosho Square, and turn left on Dean Keeling Drive. Travel to bridge barricades.)
A brief program will take place prior to the formal ribbon cutting. Representatives from the Newton County Commission and the City of Neosho will provide comments along with recognition of several involved in this project.
This bridge replaces the low-water bridge in Morse Park built in 1965.
