Bring your canoe or kayak or borrow a canoe from MDC and join us for a fun morning floating and picking up trash in Shoal Creek from Grand Falls in Joplin to Schermerhorn Park in Galena, KS, a distance of 7.4 miles. We’ll end with lunch and prizes at the SEK Nature Center. Limited shuttle service will be available. Note: The Kansas portion of Shoal Creek is not open to recreational floaters without landowner permission. If borrowing a canoe from MDC, you MUST have canoeing experience. You must provide your own life jacket if using your own canoe or kayak.
