Operations Analyst (Staff Accountant)
Exempt Position: Salary DOE
The Operations Analyst provides support in plant-based continuous improvement initiatives with a focus that adds analytical value to the organization. The Operations Analyst maintains the structure and data capture processes necessary to drive visibility on material losses throughout the manufacturing process. This position drives accuracy and transparency into the financial statements, supports root cause analysis, drives systems and process improvement/implementation and performs inventory variance analysis.
Maintains plant inventory attributes including material type, material sub type, make/buy, unit of measure conversions, general ledger accounts, boilerplate instructions, etc.
Provides plant specific control point for initial setup, maintenance and retirement of obsolesced Formula and BOMs
Investigates and takes corrective actions to maintain the integrity, transparency and analytical application of a perpetual inventory system
Pursues root cause remediation and maintains review process with operational staff for “right the first time” performance with full accountability by process cells including receipt, recognized losses and issuances
Manages the continuing evolution of the manufacturing routing structure necessary to capture data at key loss points
Maintains appropriate inventory locations in compliance with USDA requirements and Rembrandt best practices
Enforces accurate cutoff procedures for financial reporting
Completes reconciliations of inventory received from inline processing and offline breaking plants
Ensures accurate batch level reporting in support of manage by exception reporting and root cause analysis
Analyzes large and/or small quantities of data and provides Manager of Continuous Improvement with the analytics
Coordinate the input and distribution production to Finance.

Preferred Skills & Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, supply chain or management
1-3 years’ related operations or accounting experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of presenting financial information in an easy-to-understand format.
Mathematical Skills: General Arithmetic/Basic algebra/Percentages/Fractions
Intermediate experience with Excel, Access and other Microsoft applications.
Must organize/prioritize work, manage multiple tasks and projects and function effectively as a team member
Maturity, professionalism, and high level of discretion
Independent worker and analytical thinker with ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problems
Strong presence with ability to interact with Senior Leadership
